These are my new obsession! We also like to make them with a little meat of some sort (dove is the best!), but they are great with just three ingredients!
INGREDIENTS
10 jalapenos
1 block cream cheese
10 slices of bacon
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the oven to 375. Cut the jalapenos in half and cut out the interior, including the seeds. I always thought leaving the seeds were the trick to making a popper spicy, but it turns out I was wrong! The whitish part in the middle (called the pith) is the true culprit. For a mild popper, don’t leave any white pith. The pictures below show mild poppers.

Fill the interior with cream cheese.

Cut the bacon in half. I usually cook thick cut bacon for breakfast, but I prefer thin cut bacon for these poppers. They make for a crispier treat. Wrap the popper in a piece of bacon, securing with a toothpick.

Bake at 375 for 20 minutes.
