Like A Cajun LLC strives to promote Cajun culture through cajun dance lessons, online courses, and high quality Cajun merchandise. Cajun culture is a very unique and intriguing part of Louisiana history. Here at Like A Cajun, we believe it is important to help preserve that culture and spread les joie de vie to our communities. The Cajun people embody the ideals of spreading joy and laughter, helping our neighbors, and always stepping up to the plate when times get tough. Whatever you do, do it like a Cajun!

About the Owners
Growing up in a Cajun family, Kerry always cherished the stories and family traditions passed down from the older generations. She took a strong sense of pride in her heritage, and keeping the culture alive has always been important to her. Kerry began Cajun Dancing before she can remember. Originally taught by her grandparents and other family members from both sides of her family, her parents brought her and her brothers to a children’s performing dance group while still in elementary school. The group, Les Joie De Vie, was led by Sam Moran, and was part of the Cajun French Music Association Baton Rouge Chapter. Kerry and her family performed with this group all over Louisiana for several years. By the time she was in Junior High, Kerry and her two brothers were teaching classes at several schools in the area. When Kerry hears Cajun music, she can’t help but start dancing!
Kerry’s husband Kent recognized Kerry’s love for Cajun dance and music while they were dating, and he encouraged her to start teaching again. He participated in the first class she taught with his daughter, Trinity, and they both had amazing natural talent. The pair then began to help teach classes alongside Kerry. She continued teaching group classes until the birth of their boys, and is now developing online classes because she misses teaching so much! She loves spending time with her family, and can’t wait to start teaching her boys the cajun dance family tradition!
