Our Favorite Fishing Holes
One of the best places to fish off the Diversion is the Petit Amite River, which runs behind the River House. To get to it, take your boat out the slip and go back towards the Three Rivers Island entrance. Take a left and go under the golf cart bridge. Expect to catch bass, brim, and catfish!
During the early morning hours (6am-9pm), you can catch catfish right off The River House dock.
If you venture into Lake Maurespas you can expect to catch the same freshwater fish as on the river, although people have been known to catch the occasional red snapper as the water becomes more brackish.
